ACQAHE has succesfuly completed Taiex Mission with the aim of quality implementation of European standards and guidelines and fulfillment of obligations signed by the Bologna declaration

Within the framework of the Taiex Mission “Implementation of European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ESG) in Montenegro”, experts from the Croatian Agency for Science and Higher Education visited Montenegro, from 11 to 15 November 2019.
During the 5 day Mission, representatives of ACQAHE, the Ministry of Education and Croatian experts worked together on improving the rules for accreditation of study programs and the re-accreditation of higher education institutions, as well as on improving the by-laws.
The second part of the Mission was dedicated to educational trainings of the representatives of higher education institutions, in order to become more familiar with the first part of European standards and guidelines related to internal quality assurance. On this occasion, the role of higher education institutions in evaluation procedures, methods for the best preparation for the mentioned procedures, as well as the importance of their implementation were discussed.
The third part of the Mission was dedicated to educational trainings of the experts in evaluation procedures which, in addition to professors at the faculties, included students and business sector representatives. On this occasion, were discussed the methods of selecting experts, their obligations and responsibilities in this procedure.
During the Mission, all participants had the opportunity to go through hands-on workshops, taking into account the experience of experts from Croatia in carrying out specific procedures.
All participants agreed that a quality implementation of European standards and guidelines is not only the key for quality assurance in higher education, but also the state’s obligations arising from the signing of the Bologna declaration.
