A full-day expert visit, through the Zoom platform, was held on Friday, March 5, 2021., within the project “Support to European Quality Assurance Agencies in Meeting Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area” (SEQA ESG), in which the Agency for Quality Control and Assurance in Higher Education is one of the partners. The project aims to support newly established institutions for quality assurance in higher education in the application of European standards and guidelines (ESG).
The meeting covered a set of topics relevant to the quality assurance system in higher education in Montenegro through policy dialogue and examples of successful solutions in practice, such as the establishment of a clear legal framework in the field of quality assurance in higher education, independence of agencies in decision-making processes, the importance of involving students and employers in the evaluation procedures of study programs and institutions, the importance of conducting trainings of expert commissions, etc.
The President of EQAR and the representative of ENQA, as well as experts from the quality assurance agencies of higher education in Croatia, Great Britain and the Netherlands who are engaged for Montenegro in the project, were welcomed by the representative of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports in the Government of Montenegro. In addition to representatives of AKOKVO and the Ministry, the meeting was attended by representatives of the Qualifications Council, higher education institutions of Montenegro as well as representatives of student organizations of Montenegrin universities and representatives of Montenegrin labor market.
The meeting was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, the Agency for Quality Control and Assurance in Higher Education and the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education – ENQA.
