Study visit for the representatives of the Montenegrin Agency for Control and Quality Assurance of Higher Education (ACQAHE) to the National Entity for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education of Serbia (NEAQA) was organised from 23rd to 25th of September 2019. In the ACQAHE delegation, led by director professor Srđa Popović, were deputy director Ms. Tijana Stanković, senior advisors Ms. Milica Kavedžić and Ms. Ana Rutović.
The delegation was welcomed by the NEAQA director professor Jelena Kočović, with her associates: Ana Jakovljević, PhD, secretary of NEAQA, Branko Pavlović, Ana Marjanović and Aleksandar Jović. The topics of the study visit were: comparative analysis of quality assurance legal framework for higher education in two countries, the way of functioning and organization of the two agencies, financing of the agencies, compliance of national standards for accreditation and external quality assurance with European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) for quality assurance in European Higher Education Area (EHEA), comparison of procedures in quality assurance processes (initial accreditation, accreditation, reaccreditation, external quality assurance), the appointment procedures and work of the peer-review panels, as well as the possibility of jointly organising trainings and seminars. During the meetings a number of common topics for cooperation were presented, as well as problems identified by the two agencies, while necessary activities were agreed, in line to prepare joint projects’ applications for future public calls.
The ACQAHE representatives also met with Prof. Dr. Sima Avramović, president of the NEAQA’s Management Board and members of the board Prof. Dr. Slobodan Unković and Mr. Miroljub Aleksić.
The study visit was realized on the basis of the cooperation agreement between the two agencies, signed on June 25th, 2019.
