{"id":1205,"date":"2019-03-26T15:05:11","date_gmt":"2019-03-26T15:05:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/akokvo.me\/?page_id=1205"},"modified":"2026-09-01T08:29:29","modified_gmt":"2026-09-01T06:29:29","slug":"projects","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/akokvo.me\/en\/projects\/","title":{"rendered":"Projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ongoing projects<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.study-in-english.me\/\"><strong>Promoting internationalization of higher education institutions in Montenegro through capacity building for studies in English language \/ME-Study in English\/<\/strong><\/a> (2024-2028) is an Erasmus+ structural project aimed at improving the internationalisation processes of higher education institutions in Montenegro and creating conditions for the development of a greater number of study programmes delivered in English. Within the project, HEQA contributes to improving the legislative framework by transferring good practices from the EHEA to the national context, as well as by fostering dialogue among stakeholders in the field of higher education.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.csupmne.me\/\"><strong>Straightening Up Cybersecurity Posture of Montenegrin Higher Education system \/CSupMNE\/<\/strong><\/a> (2024-2027) is an Erasmus+ project aimed at strengthening capacities within the higher education system to address challenges in the field of cybersecurity. As part of the project activities, HEQA is tasked with assessing the need to introduce additional standards and criteria in the evaluation of Montenegrin higher education institutions, particularly regarding their preparedness to ensure the quality of teaching under extraordinary circumstances.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nvocoe.me\/projekat-razvoj-pracenje-priznavanje-i-digitalizacija-vannastavnih-aktivnosti-na-univerzitetskom-nivou?id=42\"><strong>Development, Tracking, Recognition and Digitalization of Extracurricular Activities at University Level \/DTRD\/<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(2025-2028) is an Erasmus+ project coordinated by the University of Montenegro, aimed at developing a systemic approach to student extracurricular activities and improving their recognition within higher education. The project includes the development of student clubs, enhancement of systems for monitoring and recognising extracurricular activities, and the development of digital solutions that will enable students to more easily access and track their participation in various activities.<\/p>\n<p>HEQA\u2019s role in the project focuses on exploring opportunities to improve the relevant legislative and regulatory framework, so that students\u2019 extracurricular activities can be appropriately taken into account in external quality assurance procedures.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Completed projects<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cred4teach.eu\/\"><strong>Micro-credentials for teacher professional development (MOOC-based micro-credentialing for teacher professional development \/CRED4TEACH\/<\/strong><\/a> (2023 \u2013 2026) was an Erasmus+ project aimed at implementing micro-credentials based on MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) courses for the professional development of teaching staff. The project involved the development of professional development programmes in the form of online courses, as well as activities aimed at improving the national and institutional frameworks for their implementation and recognition. Within the project, HEQA developed recommendations for the establishment of a national framework for micro-credentials, drawing on the experience gained through the development of programmes aimed at enhancing teaching competences.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iesp.ucg.ac.me\/\"><strong>Fostering internationalization at Montenegrin HEIs through Efficient Strategic Planning\u00a0\/IESP\/<\/strong><\/a> (2019 &#8211; 2022) was an Erasmus+ project aimed at enhancing the international competitiveness and visibility of Montenegrin universities by strengthening their capacities in various aspects of internationalisation. Within the project, HEQA supported the development of the Internationalisation Strategy for Higher Education Institutions in Montenegro and successfully carried out the accreditation process for international and interdisciplinary summer schools developed through the project activities.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coe.int\/en\/web\/podgorica\/quality-education-for-all\"><strong>Quality education for all<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0 <\/strong><strong>(2019 &#8211; 2022)<\/strong> was a Council of Europe project aimed at promoting quality education through the adoption of Council of Europe standards and practices, particularly through the use of the Reference Framework of Competences for Democratic Culture and the adoption of good practices promoted by the Platform on Ethics, Transparency and Integrity in Education (ETINED).<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, as part of this project, HEQA adopted an additional standard on academic integrity within the reaccreditation process for higher education institutions.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.baqual.hr\"><strong>Better academic qualifications through quality assurance\u00a0\/BAQUAL\/<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/a> (2020 -2022) was an Erasmus+ project aimed at improving the application of qualifications frameworks in internal and external quality assurance procedures in Croatia, Montenegro and North Macedonia. The project contributed to strengthening HEQA\u2019s research capacities and to the development of a professional qualification and a lifelong learning programme focused on enhancing the competences of higher education teaching staff. As part of the project, an Analysis of Teaching Competences in Higher Education was also developed, providing a basis for the further development of professional development programmes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ikces.me\/\"><strong>Integration of key competences into the education system of Montenegro \/IKCES\/<\/strong><\/a> (2019 \u20132021) was a project aimed at integrating eight key competences across all levels of education in Montenegro. In addition to Montenegrin partners, the Office for Economic Policy and Regional Development (EPRD) participated in the project. In terms of quality assurance, a standard was developed addressing the integration of teaching competences into specific study programmes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.enqa.eu\/projects\/supporting-european-qa-agencies-in-meeting-the-esg-seqa-esg\/\"><strong>Support to European QA agencies in meeting the\u00a0ESG<\/strong><strong>\u00a0\/SEQA ESG\/<\/strong><\/a> (2020 &#8211; 2022) \u00a0was an Erasmus+ project coordinated by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), aimed at supporting newly established quality assurance agencies in higher education in implementing the European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance (ESG).<\/p>\n<p>As part of the project, a peer review visit to Montenegro was conducted by senior representatives of ENQA and the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR), and an Action Plan was developed.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/microbol.microcredentials.eu\/\"><strong>Micro-credentials related to the key obligations of Bologna<\/strong><strong>\u00a0\/MICROBOL\/<\/strong><\/a> (2020 &#8211; 2021) is an Erasmus+ project aimed at establishing a common European framework for micro-credentials. The project contributed to discussions on the recognition of micro-credentials, their alignment with qualifications frameworks, and quality assurance, and resulted in recommendations addressed to the European Commission.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ehea.info\/page-peer-group-C-QA\"><strong>Staff Mobility Project \/Thematic Bologna Follow-Up Peer Group C on Quality Assurance\/<\/strong><\/a> (2019 &#8211; 2026). Within the activities of Thematic Peer Group C on Quality Assurance, established under the Bologna Follow-Up Group (BFUG), HEQA participated in a staff exchange and mobility programme for employees of quality assurance agencies from countries within the European Higher Education Area.<\/p>\n<p>Through mobility activities carried out with the Austrian (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aq.ac.at\/en\/\">AQA<\/a>), Portuguese (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.a3es.pt\/en\">A3ES<\/a>), Croatian (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.azvo.hr\/hr\/\">AZVO<\/a>), UK (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.qaa.ac.uk\/scotland\">QAA<\/a>) and Slovenian (<a href=\"https:\/\/nakvis.si\/?lang=en\">NAKVIS<\/a>) quality assurance agencies, HEQA staff explored a range of topics related to strengthening the legal framework, developing the research component, developing information systems, stakeholder engagement, micro-credentials, and other relevant issues related to compliance with the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Higher Education and Research for Innovation and Competitiveness<\/strong> <strong>\/INVO \u2013 HERIC\/<\/strong> (2012 &#8211; 2019) was a World Bank project aimed at improving the quality and relevance of higher education and research in Montenegro through reforms to higher education financing and the quality assurance system, as well as through strengthening research capacities.
