A three-day meeting was organized as a part of the project “Micro-Credentials for the professional development of teachers – CRED4TEACH<\/a>” based on MOOCs, in the period from 5th to 7th, February, 2024. The meeting was hosted by Aberta University<\/a> in Lisbon.<\/p>\n

The meeting on the topic “Professional training of teachers in Ukraine, Montenegro and Albania: conceptualization and accreditation of Micro-Credentials ” aimed to analyze the existing regulatory framework related to the accreditation of micro-credentials, with a special emphasis on continuous professional development programs for teachers, at all levels of education.<\/p>\n

During three working days, frameworks for the development and accreditation of micro-credentials in Europe were presented. The practical part of the working meetings was devoted to group discussions regarding the definition, creation and recognition of micro-credentials in Montenegro, Albania and Ukraine. Through teamwork of representatives of agencies and higher education institutions an idea for the development of micro-credentials was created, the target groups for which micro-credentials will be developed were identified, as well as challenges in the process of accreditation of this type of short programs.<\/p>\n

In the upcoming period the partners will work on creating of the harmonized national recommendations and institutional strategies for the further development of MOOC-based micro-credentials, which would include internal and external quality assurance of this type of program.<\/p>\n

At the end of the three-day meeting, it was concluded that even in most European countries, whose agencies are full members of ENQA<\/a>, there is no clearly defined framework for micro-credentials accreditation and that it is necessary to work on defining clear guidelines which would ensure modularity, flexibility and recognition of micro-credentials.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
