{"id":19789,"date":"2026-05-27T16:30:28","date_gmt":"2026-05-27T14:30:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/akokvo.me\/?p=19789"},"modified":"2026-05-29T16:33:17","modified_gmt":"2026-05-29T14:33:17","slug":"accredited-basic-and-master-academic-study-program-special-education-and-rehabilitation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/akokvo.me\/en\/accredited-basic-and-master-academic-study-program-special-education-and-rehabilitation\/","title":{"rendered":"Accredited basic and master academic study program &#8220;Special education and rehabilitation&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On May 26, 2026, the Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education approved the issuance of a certificate of accreditation for the basic and master academic study program entitled &#8220;Special Education and Rehabilitation&#8221; within the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucg.ac.me\/ff\">Faculty of Philosophy<\/a> at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucg.ac.me\/index.php\">University of Montenegro<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The programs were evaluated by an independent expert Commission, whose composition consisted of prof. dr Edina Kuduzovi\u0107, Dean and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation, University of Tuzla &#8211; as the President of the Commission, prof. dr Goran Ajdinski, Full Professor at the Institute for Special Education and Rehabilitation, Faculty of Philosophy, University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, prof. dr Gordana Odovi\u0107, full professor at the Faculty of Special Education and Rehabilitation, University of Belgrade, prof. dr Veselin Medenica, associate professor at the Academy for Human Development in Belgrade and prof. dr Bisera Jevti\u0107, full professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Ni\u0161, who were members of the Commission.<\/p>\n<p>The basic study program &#8220;Special Education and Rehabilitation&#8221; aims to acquire general knowledge, abilities and skills necessary for work in the field of special education and rehabilitation and to develop professional identity and competencies for work in the areas of prevention, diagnostics, habilitation, rehabilitation, early intervention, upbringing, education, professional training, social integration and social inclusion of persons with developmental or acquired sensory, cognitive and motor disabilities and disorders, as well as with persons with human communication disorders and persons with behavioral disorders.<\/p>\n<p>The Master&#8217;s degree program &#8220;Special Education and Rehabilitation&#8221; aims to improve general knowledge in the field of special education and rehabilitation and acquire specialist knowledge in the fields of defectology, speech therapy and social pedagogy, acquire abilities and skills necessary for independent professional and research work in the field of special education and rehabilitation and develop professional identity and competencies for work in the areas of diagnostics and treatment of developmental disorders, speech, language and communication disorders, learning and behavioral disorders, acquire competencies for psychosocial support for people with developmental or acquired sensory, cognitive and motor disabilities and disorders, as well as people with human communication disorders and people with behavioral disorders, as well as their family members.<\/p>\n<p>The subject study programs have a developmental and affirmative character, meaning they promote rights, inclusion and social integration, improve social participation and the quality of life of people with disabilities and developmental disorders, as well as their families, and ultimately contribute to the humanization of society as a whole.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/akokvo.me\/en\/accreditation-decisions\/\">Decisions<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/akokvo.me\/en\/accreditation-reports\/\">Reports<\/a> on the accreditation of study programs are available on the Agency&#8217;s website.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On May 26, 2026, the Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education approved the issuance of a certificate of accreditation for the basic and master academic study program entitled &#8220;Special Education and Rehabilitation&#8221; within the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Montenegro.
