Representatives of the Agency for Control and Quality Assurance of Higher Education, Gordana Novaković Vuksanović, Head of the Department for General Affairs and Finance, and Dajana Pavićević, Senior Advisor for Quality Assurance, participated in the European Quality Assurance Forum (EQAF 2025), held in Budapest. This year’s forum, titled “QA in Times of Crisis – Ensuring Stability, Autonomy and International Cooperation in Higher Education,” brought together participants and experts from the field of higher education.
The forum was attended by representatives of higher education institutions, agencies involved in higher education, as well as numerous quality assurance officers, students, and researchers, with the aim of exchanging experiences, discussing current trends, and improving quality assurance (QA) practices.
The forum provided participants with insights into new policies, innovative methodologies, and tools that enable QA to promote institutional autonomy and effective governance in conditions of disruption and external pressure. Participants discussed how QA can maintain the spirit of international academic cooperation within and beyond the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), even in cases of closures or restrictions in different national contexts.
The forum concluded that quality assurance is a key instrument for stability, resilience, and international cooperation in higher education, especially in times of global change and crises.
