Criteria for Establishing the List of Experts

For the purpose of establishing the list of experts for accreditation and reaccreditation procedures, the Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education publishes on its official website a public call for applications from experts from Montenegro and abroad.

The public call is open throughout the year for:

  • academic staff representatives
  • student representatives, and
  • business-sector representatives.

Candidates applying for the List of Experts must meet the criteria prescribed for the category under which they apply.


ACADEMIC STAFF REPRESENTATIVES

The criteria for selecting academic staff representatives for the List of Experts are:

  • Holding a scientific and/or academic title
  • Demonstrated expertise and professional development in relevant subject areas
  • Work experience in relevant subject areas
  • Demonstrated experience in quality assurance in higher education
  • Experience in management positions at higher education institutions
  • Experience participating in projects in the field of expertise
  • Most important awards/recognitions/achievements in the field of expertise
  • Most significant memberships in relevant bodies in the field of expertise
  • Knowledge of English and other foreign languages

Academic staff representatives must also submit a CV with the application.

STUDENT REPRESENTATIVES

In accordance with the recommendations set out in the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG), the Agency includes a student representative as a mandatory member of the external evaluation commission in procedures for the reaccreditation of higher education institutions. The student is selected from the List of Experts – student representatives.

The criteria for selecting student representatives for the List of Experts are:

  • A final-year bachelor student, master student or doctoral student
  • The student must be recognised for excellence and regular progress in their studies
  • Experience in study programme accreditation and reaccreditation procedures for higher education institutions
  • International experience, additional professional development and membership in associations (student organisations, etc.)
  • Experience in quality assurance in higher education
  • Knowledge of English and other foreign languages

Along with the application, student representatives must submit a CV and a motivation letter stating their reasons for applying, key recommendations for improving the quality of higher education in Montenegro from their perspective, and their contribution to and expectations from participation in the expert team for the reaccreditation of a higher education institution.

BUSINESS-SECTOR REPRESENTATIVES

In procedures for the reaccreditation of higher education institutions, a member of the external evaluation commission may also be a professional with expertise in the labour market, selected by the Agency from the List of Experts – business-sector representatives.

The criteria for selecting business-sector representatives for the List of Experts are:

  • Holding a scientific and/or academic title
  • Demonstrated expertise and professional development in relevant subject areas
  • Work experience in relevant subject areas, as well as experience in management positions
  • Experience in quality assurance in higher education
  • Additional professional development and the most significant memberships in relevant bodies in the field of expertise
  • Knowledge of English and other foreign languages

Along with the application, business-sector representatives must submit a CV and a motivation letter stating their reasons for applying, key recommendations for improving the quality of higher education in Montenegro from their perspective, and their contribution to and expectations from participation in the expert team for the reaccreditation of a higher education institution.
