Representatives of the Agency for Control and Quality Assurance of Higher Education (ACQAHE) visited the Croatian Agency for Science and Higher Education (ASHE) as part of the project “Promoting the Internationalization of Higher Education Institutions in Montenegro through Capacity Building for English-Taught Study Programs” (ME-Study in English).
The Montenegrin delegation consisted of Acting Director Tatjana Ćalasan, Assistant Director Milica Kavedžić, and International Cooperation Advisor Dunja Bulajić.
Acting Director Tatjana Ćalasan and her colleagues presented the project and the Agency’s role, which primarily focuses on acquiring best practices related to the evaluation of English-taught study programs and providing professional support to higher education institutions in this area.
The ASHE representatives, led by Director Prof. Danijela Horvatek Tomić, PhD, presented the platform for accrediting English-taught study programs, along with accreditation rules, forms, and the challenges encountered during the accreditation process.
During their stay in Croatia, the ACQAHE representatives also visited the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb, which, as a project partner, offers expertise to Montenegrin higher education institutions.
Given the limited number of English-taught study programs in Montenegro, both Montenegrin and Croatian agency representatives agreed that it is necessary to actively promote internationalization. ASHE expressed their willingness to assist and provide support in this process.
