Representatives of the Agency for Control and Quality Assurance of Higher Education, led by Acting Director Tatjana Ćalasan, visited the Maritime Faculty in Kotor. During the visit, they held discussions with the Dean, Prof. Tatjana Dlabač, PhD, Vice Dean for Teaching, Assoc. Prof. Stevan Kordić, PhD, Vice Dean for Development and Communication, Assoc. Prof. Zorica Đurović, PhD, Prof. Špiro Ivošević, PhD, and the Head of the Quality System, Vera Kapetanović.
Acting Director Tatjana Ćalasan presented the Agency’s plans for the upcoming period, highlighting the intensification of cooperation with higher education institutions as a key priority. She emphasized that all institutions should receive equal treatment and support from the Agency.
The representatives of the Maritime Faculty stressed that the internationalization of study programs is a fundamental part of their strategy and a crucial factor in successfully positioning the faculty within the European higher education framework for maritime studies. They expressed their expectation that the Agency would provide essential support in this process.
The meeting also addressed the need for a more flexible system to ensure that higher education keeps pace with European trends in the maritime sector. Such improvements would strengthen the faculty’s connections with renowned maritime higher education institutions and associations, as well as with numerous European and global universities.
