The Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education approved, on 14 September 2026, the issuance of an accreditation certificate for the Master’s academic study programme entitled “Maritime Sciences and Tourism”, offered by the Faculty of Maritime Studies and Tourism – Bar, University “Adriatic” Bar.
The programme was evaluated by an independent Expert Commission comprising Prof. Dr Edvard Tijan from the Faculty of Maritime Studies, University of Rijeka, who served as Chair of the Commission; Prof. Dr Sandra Janković from the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, University of Rijeka; and Prof. Dr Žarko Koboević from the Maritime Faculty, University of Dubrovnik, who served as members of the Commission.
The Master’s study programme “Maritime Sciences and Tourism” aims to educate professionals qualified to:
- independently and responsibly perform complex managerial, organisational and analytical tasks in the maritime and tourism sectors;
- apply contemporary scientific methods to solving complex problems in the real-world sector;
- manage projects, systems and processes in the maritime and tourism industries;
- pursue further academic development through doctoral studies and scientific research.
