Agency for Control and Quality Assurance of Higher Education has been granted affiliate status with the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education

The Agency for Control and Quality Assurance of Higher Education has officially been granted affiliate status with the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA).
By entering into EU integration process and joining the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) new challenges have emerged in the field of higher education. Therefore, Government of Montenegro has established Agency in order to implement European Standards and Guidelines in Higher Education (ESG).
Affiliate status is the first and most important step towards full membership, which represents long and demanding process in the comprehensive and consistent application of ESGs in the processes of evaluation of study programs and higher education institutions. By meeting European standards, a new value is added to the Montenegrin higher education system through increasing credibility, competitiveness and its international recognition. Therefore, this process ensures greater mobility of students and facilitates the recognition of Montenegrin diplomas. By establishing formal relations with ENQA the Montenegrin Agency is given the opportunity to use ENQA capacities not only for formal but rather for essential membership with the European Higher Education Area in the field of quality assurance.
