The European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education – ENQA) organized a webinar on “Micro-credentials and the role of external quality assurance” on February 25, 2021.
Micro-credentials are currently receiving a lot of attention due to their potential to support skill development and flexible learning pathways. Several projects and initiatives explore the opportunities and challenges of using small, certified units of learning in European higher education. This webinar, organized by ENQA, gave an overview of the current use of micro-credentials, with special emphasis on the importance of external quality assurance.
