Accredited academic interdisciplinary master’s study programme “Gender studies”

The Agency for Control and Quality Assurance of Higher Education approved on December 16, 2024, the issuance of a certificate of accreditation of the master’s academic interdisciplinary study program entitled “Gender Studies” within the Institute of Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary Studies at the University of Montenegro.

The program was evaluated by an independent expert Commission, whose composition consisted of prof. dr. Miloš Milenković from the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, in the capacity of president of the Commission, prof. dr. Julija Brsakoska-Bazerkoska from the Institute for International Law and International Relations, Faculty of Law, University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje and prof. dr. Dragan Prole from the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad, who were members of the Commission.

The master study program “Gender Studies” aims to contribute to and build students’ general knowledge about the concept of gender through the acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of gender relations through an interdisciplinary approach in research and through the integration of a gender-sensitive approach in the field of social sciences and humanities, as well as to a better understanding of gender dynamics and the promotion of social justice and equality in society.
