Accredited first joint study programme in english “Мaritime environmental protection and management”

The Agency for Control and Quality Assurance of Higher Education approved on December 29, 2023, the issuance of the certificate of accreditation of the Master’s interdisciplinary joint study programme in English “Maritime environmental protection and management” within the Faculty of maritime studies at the University of Montenegro.

This is the first joint study programme at the University of Montenegro, the teaching of which will be entirely in English. The partner institutions with which the University of Montenegro will jointly implement this program are “Aleksander Moisiu” University in Durrës and “Ismail Ćemali” University in Valona.

The programme was evaluated by an independent expert panel, whose composition consisted of prof. dr Slobodanka Pavlović from the Faculty of Applied Ecology “Futura”, Metropolitan University in Belgrade, in the capacity of president of the panel, prof. dr Nikola Mandić from the Maritime Faculty, University of Split and prof. dr Anica Glođović from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, University of Kragujevac, who were members of the panel.

The abovementioned master’s study programme was created within the framework of the implementation of the ERASMUS+ CBHE project – MEP&M, which was coordinated by the Faculty of maritime studies of the University of Montenegro. The goal of establishing such programme is to improve the area of sea and coastal protection, which is an extremely important factor in the sustainable development of the blue economy sector in Montenegro.
