ACQAHE participated in the International Symposium on Quality Assurance Organized by Public Policy Exchange

Milica Kavedžić, Deputy Director of ACQAHE, participated as one of the speakers at the International Symposium on Quality Assurance, invited by the British Association for Public Policy Exchange, on October 17, held in an online format.

The Symposium covered a variety of topics in the field of quality assurance, including experiences from different countries regarding compliance with ESG standards, the appropriate role of governments in quality assurance systems, conclusions from the Ministerial Conference in Tirana, the need for the revision of ESG standards and the digitalization of evaluation procedures. Additionally, participants exchanged views on the best solutions for motivating students in order to engage in quality assurance processes.

Deputy Director Kavedžić presented the Montenegrin quality assurance system, its international activities, and current initiatives related to conducting thematic analyses.

The Symposium was chaired by Sigmund Gronmo, Emeritus Professor of Sociology at the University of Bergen. In addition to Deputy Director Kavedžić, speakers included Vicki Stott, Chief Executive of the UK Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), Maria Kelo, Director of Institutional Development at the European University Association (EUA), George Ubachs, Managing Director of the European Association of Distance Teaching Universities, Professor Petri Mäntysaari, Member of the Steering Committee for the ESG revision and Vice Chair of the Finnish Union of University Professors, Anca Prisacariu, Quality Assurance Director at the American Institute of Applied Sciences in Switzerland and Tamara Ciobanu, Executive Committee Member at the European Students’ Union.
