The closing webinar of the SEQA-ESG project

The closing webinar of the SEQA-ESG project, titled “Overcoming obstacles in achieving ESG compliance: lessons learned from the SEQA-ESG project” was held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.

The aim of the webinar was to share experiences through presentations of QA agencies and national bodies in the field of quality assurance in higher education on how they face system/legal, organizational and practice-related challenges in the process of harmonization with standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).

The representative of the Agency for Control and Quality Assurance of Higher Education presented the experience of Montenegrin agency when it comes to the implementation of standards related to expert commissions through a presentation on how to engage experts in evaluation processes, procedures and methods of information gathering, decision-making methods, challenges and improvements.

The partner countries agreed that all agencies face the same or similar challenges, and that the SEQA-ESG project, which involved the agencies but also the experts with significant experience in the field of quality assurance in higher education, had multiple benefits. Transferring knowledge and experience, providing solutions by experts in ESG compliance processes, as well as raising awareness of the importance of ESG compliance are just some of the benefits that were highlighted during the meeting.

As a reminder, the SEQA-ESG project aimed to support quality assurance agencies and national bodies in six countries (Montenegro, Albania, the Czech Republic, Malta, Moldova and Slovakia) in the process of creating an ESG-compliant quality assurance system, which is one of the key obligations of the Bologna process.
