On Friday, October 11, 2024, representatives of the Agency for Control and Quality Assurance of Higher Education held a training session on the implementation of the reaccreditation procedure of higher education institutions for representatives of all organizational units of the University of Donja Gorica, in order to help institution to prepare for the upcoming reaccreditation procedure.
During the training, the procedures and standards defined by the Law on Higher Education and by-laws were presented, according to which the institution of higher education is obliged to submit a request for reaccreditation at least eight months before the expiry of the previous reaccreditation.
In the first part of the presentation, the attendees were able to familiarize themselves with the content of the text in the Rules on the reaccreditation procedure of higher education institutions, according to which the Agency carries out the reaccreditation procedure.
The second part of the presentation referred to the Self-Evaluation Report, which is an integral part of the request for reaccreditation of the institution, which consists of a total of 11 evaluation standards together with the associated criteria, and which are aligned with European standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG).
In an open discussion, after the presentations, the representatives of the Agency provided the attendees with the necessary clarifications and answers to additional questions. The willingness of the Agency to be available for any further assistance during the preparation of the request for reaccreditation was expressed.
According to the Reaccreditation Plan for 2025, which the Agency adopted at the end of June 2024, the University of Donja Gorica will go through the reaccreditation procedure in 2025.
