Mid-term meeting of the SEQA-ESG project

A mid-term meeting of the project “Support to European Quality Assurance Agencies in meeting the standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area” (SEQA ESG) was held on 7th of Friday, 2021.

Representatives of partner institutions presented activities related to the creation of National Action Plans, focusing on the objectives but also the challenges they face in the preparation of this document.

The National Action Plan in Montenegro was presented by a representative of the Agency for Control and Quality Assurance of Higher Education, highlighting two groups of goals which are crucial in the field of quality assurance in higher education in Montenegro. The first group refers to the establishment of clear legislation in this area while the second group refers to the definition of clear rules and bylaws that specify all elements of evaluation of study programs and institutions (follow-up procedures, establishment of an accreditation body, involvement of key stakeholders, etc.) and all in accordance with European standards and guidelines (ESG).

During the meeting, representatives of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education – ENQA presented the activities implemented in the first half of the project (implementation of work packages, analysis of expert visits to national agencies, research on visits, etc.).

Further activities and timeframe regarding the implementation of the project have been agreed with special emphasis on the organization of workshops by project partners (Alignment of process and methods to the ESG, National Criteria and the ESG, Peer review experts, Stakeholder Involvement).
