Participation of ACQAHE in the International Conference “Shaping the Future of Teaching through Micro-credentials”

Within the framework of the CRED4TEACH project “MOOC-based Micro-Credentials for Teacher Professional Development” (CRED4TEACH), the fourth transnational meeting of project partners, as well as an international conference titled “Shaping the Future of Teaching through Micro-credentials,” were held in Podgorica from April 28 to 30, 2026. The event was hosted by the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Montenegro, while the conference itself took place on April 29 at the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro.

During the CRED4TEACH team meetings, the achievements of the project to date were reviewed, the results accomplished were analyzed, and the next steps were defined as the project approaches its final phase. Particular emphasis was placed on the sustainability of the developed micro-credential models and their further implementation within higher education systems.

On behalf of the Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, Jelena Đukanović and Aldina Purišić participated in the meetings and the conference.

At the international conference, Jelena Đukanović delivered a presentation titled “Cooperation with national micro-credential stakeholders in Montenegro”

The presentation highlighted the role and importance of the Agency in the development and implementation of micro-credentials, with special reference to the new Law on Higher Education, which for the first time formally recognizes the concept of micro-credentials in Montenegro. It also emphasized the importance of cooperation with key stakeholders in the education system in order to develop high-quality and relevant programs aligned with the needs of the modern labor market.

The conference brought together representatives of the academic community, policymakers, and international partners, providing an important platform for the exchange of experiences and the promotion of innovative approaches to the professional development of teachers through micro-credentials.
