Working meeting with the representatives of the leading European institution in the field of higher education took place in the period 17 – 19 January in Brussels, Belgium.

In the period 17 – 19 January 2019, Deputy Director of the Agency for Quality Assurance and Research, Tijana Stanković, met in Brussels with the directors of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), the European Quality Assurance Register in Higher Education (EQAR), European University Association (EUA), the Institutional Evaluation Programme for the establishments in higher education (IEP), as well as the European Association of Institutions in Higher Education (EUARSHE).

The aim of the meeting was sharing information about the work of the Agency, analysing the requirements for ensuring support from and cooperation with the European institutions, as well as obtaining recommendations for improving the institutional quality assurance framework in Montenegro through a high level of application of European Standard and Guidelines and their implementation in practice.

The meeting was concluded with the expressions of unreserved support to the Agency on its path towards the membership in European institutions and the announcement of the visit of the Director of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) to Montenegro in April next year. Within the visit, through bilateral meeting with the Minister of Education and  a round table with all the participants in the system, Montenegro will be provided with concrete suggestions for the activities aimed at meeting requirements for membership in the European higher education institutions.
