The Bologna Follow-up Group Secretariat (BFUG) established a set of Working Groups in the member states of the European Higher Education Area and signatories to the Bologna Declaration with a view to identifying the level of quality of the implementation of the Bologna process.
After the First meeting in Tbilisi, Georgia that was held in December 2018, and Second meeting that was held in Limassol, Cyprus in May 2019, representative of ACQAHE, Advisor Milica Kavedžić, has attended Third meeting of the Working Group for Quality Assurance in Higher Education that took place in Ghent, Belgium, 16-17th January 2020.
Key topics that were discussed during this meeting were related to: QA culture and it’s existence in individual systems of HE, internal QA, institutional vs. program accreditation, as well as trainings for students participating in evaluation procedures as experts. In addition to the topics discussed in the parallel sessions, emphasis was also placed to stakeholder involvement in practice, which directly enhances the quality of higher education.
This meeting was also an opportunity for participants who already were part of the exchange program funded by the KA3 Erasmus + project, to share their experiences and knowledge gained in specific areas.
The conclusions of the Third meeting of the Working Group are representing the basis for adoption of policies and guidelines in the field of higher education at the Ministerial Conference to be held in June 2020.
